Associate Scientist - Analytical Development

Analytical Development (AD) department cover the key area of activities on Analytical Method development, transfer, and validation. These analytical methods are used for analysing process development samples, product characterization, release testing and stability testing of biopharmaceuticals (proteins, MAbs, vaccines, ATMPs). The purpose of Associate Scientist AD is to execute analytical experimental and documentation activities.

Your tasks
  • Design, plan, prepare, execute, and document experimental activities on analytical development and validation.
  • Perform analysis of process development samples.
  • Collaborate with (Sr.) Scientists and project team members in defining, planning, and executing project deliverables.
  • Support QC and stability analyses.
  • Proxy Scientist(s) in project team and departmental housekeeping activities.
  • Train peers, new team members and QC analysts.
  • Write analytical method descriptions, protocols, reports, standard operating procedures, work instructions, and other technical/quality documents.
  • Coordinate managing AD laboratories, including ownership of lab rules, management of equipment, and lab supplies.
You have
  • M.Sc. with 2+ years or B.Sc. with 5+ years of work experience in (bio)analytical or relevant field in biopharmaceutical industry.
  • Practically experienced in analysis of minimum one of the following categories of biopharmaceuticals: proteins, antibodies, viral vectors, vaccines, gene therapy.
  • Highly skilful on most (not necessarily all) of the following analytical techniques: ELISA, U/HPLC, CE-SDS, cIEF, (q/RT/dd/d) PCR, cell-based bioactivity/potency methods, enzymatic assays, and spectrometry.
  • Experienced in working according to good documentation practice, data integrity, ALCOA+ principle, BSL2 laboratory regulations, and GMP.
